Moving

Today we were flying from Bangkok to Udon Thani. We were going with RTAF aircraft. The first planes to leave were several C130's, boarding time for the busses going to the airport was 6 in the morning. Most of us took the oppertunity to catch up on some sleep, although there were exceptions. Graig Girard was seen talking enthusiastically into his helmet, while testing the radio system.

Later in the day the more comfy Airbusses followed, at a more comfy time. By the time the last skydivers arrived all the rooms were ready and all the luggage had arrived at the hotels. We are staying at 2 different hotels, with a big mall and a lot of shops in between, so right now this neighbourhood of Udon Thani is being invaded by 552 skydivers. The people here are very happy to see us, they put up banners welcoming us everywhere. And after replying in the affirmative to the question "Are you World Team?" you invariable get a big smile.

Tomorrow we will start off with a ceremony at City Hall for his majesty the King. After that we will parade around the city in Tuk-Tuks (that wil be a sight!) before going to the safety briefing, and our day will conclude with a welcoming party hosted by the Governor of Udon Thani.
