| What
level of experience is required for WT 2010~2011?
While
there is no minimum jump number for WT 2010~2011, we are looking
for participants with recent 100+ way experience. Exiting from C-130's
is different than exiting from conventional DZ aircraft. In order
to be on WT 2010~2011 you should be able to CONSISTENTLY exit last
from a Twin Otter / Skyvan / Dornier / Antonov type aircraft and
make a zero momentum dock in the formation. This is the level of
expertise that the WT Selection Team will be looking for.
Will
I be able to update my Application form during the Application Process?
Yes. Information on how to submit updates is available via a link
from the Team Member Selection
Process webpage on this site.
When
will I be notified if I’ve been selected for World Team 2010,
and who will notify me?
The
Selection Team will notify applicants about their participation
status. Notifications will be sent to applicants on a sliding schedule,
based on many factors. Some applicants may receive notifications
as early as July 2009. All applicants will receive notification
no later than 1 September 2009.
If
I am selected and participate on World Team 2010, am I guaranteed
a slot for 2011?
No. However, a strong performance in 2010 is an excellent credential
when being considered for 2011.
If
I am not available to participate on World Team 2010, will this
hurt my chances of participating in 2011?
No.
The Selection Team will select the 500 most qualified skydivers
who apply to participate on World Team 2011.
If
I don’t get selected for World Team 2010, what can I do to
secure a slot for 2011?
Stay active on the international big-way circuit. Attend big-way
camps and big-way events to strengthen your big-way skydiving skills,
credentials, and familiarity with the latest big-way techniques
and terminology. |
