The Selection Team members had one of the most difficult and challenging tasks of all World Team Leaders.  Over 600 experienced skydivers applied to become members of World Team ’06, and it was the Selection Team’s responsibility to evaluate their skills, experience, currency, and attitude, and rank them in the order of their ability to perform the necessary tasks to build a 400-way.

These evaluations were based on the Selection Team’s personal knowledge about the applicants, and on input received from the applicants themselves, from Sector Captains, National Captains, other World Team Leaders, and from many experts in the international skydiving community.  Kate, Larry, and Dan took their responsibility very seriously, as did all who participated in this Selection Process. The combined result of these efforts has been the creation of the strongest team ever assembled to build a large freefall formation world record.
